Restore System on Windows Vista

I was having an issue where I had to restore my computer using Windows Vista.
For some reason, I couldn't get the System Restore to open when I selected it. I am not sure why that didn't work, but the way I got my system to restore was by following these steps:

1) Start your computer in safe mode by restarting your computer and holding down the F8 key.
2) Select the "Start Computer in Safe Mode with Command Prompt"
3) When the command prompts opens up, type rstrui.exe and press enter and wait a few minutes. Your System Restore takes a while to open.
4) Follow the instructions to restore your System.


Note: When restoring your computer in safe mode, you aren't going to be able to undo it.
