Benefits of the COSHH Module

One of the basic responsibilities of an employer is to make sure that he is able to provide a safe environment for his employees. The chances of exposure to hazardous chemicals or substances should be eliminated or reduced. The chemicals or substances that they use at their manufacturing plants or factories should be used under closely monitored situations. Employees should be provided with the necessary gears and protective clothing to prevent exposure to such chemicals or substances. Every employer should adhere to all the regulations required by law to pass CoSHH or Control of Substances Hazardous to Health assessments. Materials such as bleach or paint may be considered harmful but they can be used if they are essential components in the manufacture of their products and as long as they used accordingly. They must provide their employees the required health benefits. They must also be able to provide a comprehensive back up plan in case an emergency happens that leads to the exposure of such substances. They should also closely monitor the health of each employee to make sure that they are fit to work.
